SURGICAL TECHNIQUE

Surgery is carried out in authorized and top quality Private Hospitals. We do not use day-surgery centres.

General anaesthesia or IV sedation are preferred. The anaesthetist is always present.

Overnight stay is usually requested. The preferred surgical incision is through the areola (periareolar incision); this approach heals with inconspicuous scars. Rarely the submammary incision is used based on patient preference.

The implant is placed under the pectoral major muscle and partially under the mammary gland (submuscular dual-plane technique); this technique allows a natural look of the breast.

The final outcome is stable in time and the implant remain mobile on the chest wall, the breasts do not look augmented.
